Chioce of Handmade frames
We are now able to offer a range of frames hand made here in Boscastle from solid wood so you can choose which frame best suits the picture and your home.We only use solid wood and do as little as possible to it in order to allow its natural properties to show.

38mm Oak . I usually use this for pictures when using 60cm X 50cm glass. ( this sample has quite distinct graining for oak.)

60mm Ash . Same treatment as Oak but usually has a more distinctive grain.Good for larger pictures.

40mm Pine, Lightly sanded then given 1 coat of White acrylic varnish which protects it and allows it to be
wiped clean the grain remains visible.

60mm Obeche . Obeche is a wood similar to bolsa from tropical West Africa,it is good to use in picture framing as it is strong and light,it can have some darker marks in the grain but i think that adds to the
"Driftwood effect". again given 1 coat of white acrylic varnish.
